Hi Screwball:
First of all, just because you are in the Air Corps don't think that your vision is better than an Engineer. Maybe the margin of my letter appeared oblique because you had been drinking too much of Washington's night life. Second of all, from the news flash you sent to me, I'm inclined to agree on the last of my "first of all" once again.
Third of all, the 11th of August has been pretty dull as I haven't taken in a movie but rather am completing a tour of duty as C.Q.
It is very good news to learn that you are stationed permanently in Washington, D.C. and are not expecting to leave the US momentarily. But please, Bobby dear, let us not be as blase about our nation's capital. Slip me some dope on how you like it or not and what you do in your spare time in and around that vicinity.
I can't tell you very much of this place since camp is where one stays most of the time unless he manages to borrow a jeep, command car or weapons carrier and goes riding along the same old roads which are becoming as familiar as 22nd Street.
So long for now -- Good luck & good health.
