I re-wrote Anita's letter this evening and I believe that is all I will do at this writing because I wouldn't be able to or wouldn't want to flood the censor with more mail than I am already handling this evening. In my checking of letters to be answered I find the label from the box of candy sent to me by Dolores and Eleanor. My policy is to keep only unanswered items in this file. Did I send thank you notes to both of them or didn't I? It appears that either I ought to make triplicate copies of my letters or make carbon copies of yours so that I have some sort of definite check on those things. I really should have noted every present down in a book and then checked off whether or not I thanked the people for them.
Here is my list as near as I can recall.
1 | box of candy from Dolores and Eleanor | Thanked or unthanked?
1 | can of peanuts from Anita | Thanked
1 | can of nuts from Mary | Unthanked
1 | can of nuts from Aunt-Aunt | Unthanked
1 | Daily News from Uncle Jack | Thanked
1 | Reader's Digest from Klicks | Unthanked
1 | Assorted gifts from Rose | Unthanked
1 | can of peanuts and fudge from Millers | Unthanked
1 | fruit cake, jelly and candy from Michalaks | Unthanked
1 | box Mrs Snyder's candies from Reeds | Unthanked
1 | package of 6 books from Bernetts | Thanked
1 | book from you and AF | Thanked
1 | Xmas cards and Atlas from you | Thanked
1 | Flashlight and tooth powder from you | Thanked
1 | Cribbage set from the Bradleys | Unthanked
1 | Package from the Victory Club | Thanked
1 | Fruit cake from Mrs Boyer | Thanked |
Are there any additions or corrections?
So-long,
