                ON THE 14TH THE BULLDOZER ELEVEN TRAVELED 165 MILES

         NORTH TO EUGENE, OREGON TO PLAY OREGON UNIVERSITY’S FRESHMAN

         TEAM. IN A CONSTANT RAIN WE WERE LITERALLY SWAMPED BY A 19

         TO 0 LOSS TO THE "DUCKS".

         

              ON THANKSGIVING DAY THE 26TH, THE BULLDOZER ELEVEN LOST

         THE CAMP WHITE CHAMPIONSHIP TO THE 351ST ENGINEERS (G.S.) IN

         ANOTHER RAINY ENCOUNTER AT THE MEDFORD HIGH SCHOOL STADIUM

         13 - 0. THE 353RD BAND PUT ON A HALF-TIME SHOW.

         

              ON THE 2ND, 1ST LT. CLEMENTZ AND ON THE 16TH, 1ST LT.

         SHUBAT WERE PROMOTED TO CAPTAIN.

         

              ENLISTED MEN FILLERS ARRIVED THROUGHOUT THE MONTH AS

              2ND - ONE FROM THE 31ST ENGRS., FT BELVOIR, VA.

             11TH - FIVE FROM CAVALRY RTC, FT. RILEY, KANSAS

             14TH - ONE FROM THE 241ST F.A., CAMP WHITE, OREGON

             22ND - ONE HUNDRED FIFTY FROM CAMP GRANT, ILLINOIS

             23RD - THREE HUNDRED FIFTY FROM CAMP GRANT, ILLINOIS

             25TH - TWO HUNDRED FORTY-ONE FROM FT. BENJAMIN

                      HARRISON, INDIANA

             25TH - EIGHTY-SIX FROM CAMP PERRY, OHIO

             25TH - ONE HUNDRED FORTY-EIGHT FROM FT. THOMAS, KY

             25TH - TWENTY-ONE FROM FT. HAYS, OHIO

         

              ON THE 30TH THE 12 WEEK BASIC TRAINING PROGRAM STARTED.



              UNIT STRENGTH: 55 OFFICERS - 1334 ENLISTED MEN

         

         DECEMBER 1942:

         

              ON THE 22ND THE COAT OF ARMS, LESS CREST, AS DESCRIBED

         PREVIOUSLY WAS APPROVED IN LETTER WAR DEPARTMENT, OFFICE OF

         THE QUARTERMASTER GENERAL, DATED DECEMBER 22, 1942.

         

            ON THE 23RD BEFORE A REGIMENTAL FORMATION COL. WENDELL

         P. TROWER EXTENDED THE HOLIDAY GREETINGS TO ALL MEMBERS OF

         HIS COMMAND.

         

              ON THE 23RD CAPT. NELSON C. MC COMBS WAS TRANSFERRED TO

         THE 9TH SERVICE COMMAND, CAMP YOUNG, CA.

         

              ON THE 29TH THE BULLDOZERS BASKETBALL TEAM DEFEATED THE

         231ST Q.M. BY A SCORE OF 24 TO 19.

         

              UNIT STRENGTH:   55 OFFICERS - 1330 ENLISTED MEN



         JANUARY 1943:

         

              ON THE 14TH THE 353RD WAS PLACED ON THE A2A PRIORITY
